About me

About me

For me, good design is key. It grinds my gears to see bad design on what could be a great product.

Great product design comes from collaboration.

This means including people with different skillsets & stakeholder levels which leads to tougher challenges, bigger goals and bigger impacts.

Leading by example

As well as being a manager I love to get hands on in the design process, guiding, mentoring and learning from my team

I’ve spent the last 5+ years building diverse design teams, ensuring there is an open and inclusive atmosphere.

Research & Discover

"The solutions are there if we put our heads together"

I love to conduct team and client workshops and research sessions - the early stages of a project can be the most important.

The most important thing is to document insights, personas, metrics, quantitative and qualitative data to make informed decisions about UX, UI and interaction solutions.

Create valuable documentation

"Clear, beautiful and accurate documentation helps illustrate user journeys, flows and our research outcomes"

I always find that once a clear and accurate document can be created, a lot of challenges begin to dissipate.

Complex problems become easier to understand and solutions become clearer.

Create prototypes, test and iterate

"Rapid prototypes help stakeholders see what we have created, if we can offer more than one solution, we should show it"

Prototype hi fidelity interactive and responsive interface solutions. I prefer to use Figma, Sketch, UXPin, XD, Framer.js and HTML/CSS/JS.

These design solutions are tested with users and stakeholders to find out what works, and what needs to change. I iterate this process until it's time to finalise the design and tweek interactions.

We can then take this testing into the real world, wether it be A/B, moderated or in house, we'll learn heaps and make a better product.

Delivering the product

"I can work as a translator who speaks the different languages of back end developers, engineers and stakeholders"

It is very important to be able to work productively within a team environment, to make certain that we all understand why we are doing what we do. Without this trust and understanding we can't begin to improve the product.
